Despite Calem/Serena now using a Mega Absol during their Victory Road fight, their models lack a Mega Ring until postgame. Share completely will make you underleveled (even without the slight level jump I put in), so I recommend turning it off and on at your leisure when you need it. calculation to the same one Gen V and Gen VII onward uses. I didn't want to give the game a huge level curve to balance it, and it doesn't seem possible to fix the problem directly by changing the Exp. Diantha has a new team, with half its members being swapped out for new ones (they also all have held item). Wulfric and the Elite Four now also use Mega Evolution, with the Elite Four also having held items on all their Pokemon. Specifically, Grant uses 3 Pokemon, Ramos through Olympia have 4, and Wulfric + the Elite Four use 5. All the Gym Leaders/Elite Four + the Champion have had their team changed slightly or significantly, including team sizes, slight level jumps (typically only 1 level), and new movesets. The changelog can be found here, but to summarize the main changes: Not to pat myself on the back, but the increased difficulty made me REALLY enjoy the good aspects of X/Y while I was playtesting it. XYRe's main focus is to fine tune the game to make its difficulty more balanced and more akin to 'harder' Pokemon games like Platinum, or like Black 2/White 2's Challenge Mode. The name of the hacks are "Pokemon X Rebirth" and "Pokemon Y Rebirth".
I decided that I'd go ahead and make a very light hack changing most of the major fights in the game to be slightly more challenging, and just last night, I finished the main story, so it seems like it's almost ready to be released. So I looked up if it were possible to edit some of the fights in X/Y, and I stumbled across some 3DS hacking tools, primarily PK3DS. I'm not a very experienced hacker (though I dabbled with GBA hacking tools as a kid), but I had thought about how I'd fix X/Y's main boss battles for a while, and then I finally got inspired to make a slightly harder version (without turning the game into a full-on challenge hack like Neo X/Y or Eternal X/Wilting Y). So, like a lot of people, I found X/Y enjoyable, but WAY too easy, and this is coming from someone who finds difficulty in Pokemon a bit overrated.
